Askinsky District (Russian: Аскинский район; Bashkir: Асҡын районы) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-four in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Askino. District's population: 21,272 (2010 Census preliminary results); 23,928 (2002 Census); 23,505 (1989 Census). Population of Askino accounts for 28.6% of the district's population.
The district was established in January 1935.
The district is an agricultural and forestry area. Agricultural lands occupy 92.8 thousand hectares (36.7% of the total area). The main crops are rye, wheat, potatoes, and beef and it has many livestock farms. Logging activities are conducted in the district.
